New York Fast Food Fair Workweek Notice Poster
Employers in the fast food industry and who are located in the City of New York, must display the Fast Food Fair Work Week notice in a conspicuous location where it can be viewed by employees. The notice must be displayed in a language considered to be a primary language of at least 5% of the workforce if available on the DCA website.
The New York Retail Fast Food Work Week Poster defines fast food workers as anyone who performs any of the following tasks in a fast food establishment: customer service, cooking, food or drink preparation, off-site delivery. Security, stocking supplies or equipment, cleaning or routine maintenance duties.
The notice informs employees of their rights regarding estimated schedule and first work week, 2 weeks advance notice of first work schedule, priority to work open shifts, consent plus $100 for “Clopening” shifts and consent and premium pay for last-minute schedule changes.
