New York Retail Fair Workweek Notice Poster

Employers in the retail industry and who are located in the City of New York, must display the Retail Fair Workweek notice in a conspicuous location where it can be viewed by employees. The notice must be displayed in a language considered to be a primary language of at least 5% of the workforce if available on the DCA website.

The New York Retail Fair Workweek Poster informs employees of their rights to a fair and predictable work schedule, defined as 72 hours advance notice of work schedule and an updated written schedule if changes are made with less than 72 hours notice.

Employers are not permitted to make:

• On-call shifts
• Call-in shifts within 72 hours of the start of a shift
• Shift cancellations with less than 72 hours notice
• Shift additions within less than 72 hours notice unless worker consents in writing
